The coordination of the Port Phillip and Western Port Regional Catchment Strategy was previously managed Port Phillip & Western Port Catchment Management Authority (PPWCMA).

On 1st January 2022, the PPWCMA was integrated into Melbourne Water. From this date, Melbourne Water has been responsible for managing the Port Phillip and Western Port Regional Catchment Strategy and this website.
